Driving east towards the desert, through a small farming community emerged a darkness a thousand feet high and about five miles wide. This ominous darkness did not spark fear and I kept ahead straight for it. Once we had arrived in the town, the darkness had not yet reached us, I went to get a dead president from the petrol station and was denied. I apologized for holding up the line and the same thing, denied once again. So we then drove to another station down the road, I walk in and the ATM's screen is spinning, like a TV gone haywire and surprise; denied again. I thought this was awfully strange these two occurances couldn't be a good sign. So I just decided to abandon this idea and just accomplish the goal of picking up my kin. As I got out of the car it started to sprinkle and at the house was a litter of pup's , the mother very protective of them. As she bit I told her she had no reason to worry and then calmed down once she felt comfortable. I took the darkest one out and ran back to the car to show the passenger. The moment I walked out i was almost completely drenched, and thought that i should take the pup back in before it drowns in my cuped palms. I took her in and dried it off with a towl. I said, "we've got to get out of here." We fled back to the car as fast I could and still managed to get completely drenched as if i jumped into pool. This water unusally refreshing, this was a natural shower and my hair and skin felt cleaner without the help of detergents. I felt as if i was baptized by Gaia. I could not be detered by this omonious forboding and maybe this was part of my reward, the other part of it was the intentional rescuing of my kin from nightmarish environments. Upon another attempt at finding a functional system to dispense currency, we found it nearly impossible to drive, but we had made nonetheless. Now it was time to flee the scene. By now, roughly 15-20 minutes latre the pouring aqua had subsided and we we're on our way back. This now posed a second problem that we could see brewing in the same direction we were heading. To the left were the dark curtains pushing against the hills, the strength of the rainfall was apparently causing a dust storm that was moving from left to right over the hwy with great speed. It looked as if we were going to run right into this storm but the car in front of us proceeded with hesitance in tow with a trailer of water mobiles, which caused us to drive right bettween the down pour and the dirt storm and back to the city.
Later that evening it was reported on the local news that a tornado had occured but the meteorologist's were unsure if it had actually touched down.
